Snackshots | Adventure World's Laugh'N' Go Review
During the same week I took my mum to Disneyland Park, I treated myself to a solo day at Adventure World – my first time exploring the new areas of the park. Yes, I could have gone to one of the MANY new places on Adventure Way, but I’m a huge Cars fan, and I’ve been meaning to stop at Laugh’N’ Go for ages.
I’d already booked dinner at The Regal View, so I just wanted a snack to get me through the afternoon, while leaving plenty of space for a three-course meal. The perfect opportunity for a little sandwich and a sweet treat.

Man, I wish we had a proper Cars Land at Disneyland Paris like California’s. Don’t get me wrong, the mini Radiator Springs round by Cars Quatre Roues Rallye is cute, but it’s not quite the full California Adventure experience and I will forever be sad about this. Plus, the actual Cars-themed snack stop is elsewhere in the park, beyond Toy Story Playland, by the Cars Road Trip attraction.
As a massive Cars fan, I’m ashamed to admit that it has taken me this long to stop at Laugh’N’ Go, despite knowing they serve cute Lightning McQueen sandwiches. Because it used to be so disconnected from the rest of the park, it was easy to forget about, but with the addition of Adventure Way and World of Frozen, this section is no longer the dead-end that it used to be.
Sat just across from the exit of Cars Road Trip is the happiest little food truck you ever did see. The menu is small, but that’s all you need from a quick pit-stop spot like this. A few umbrella-covered tables and chairs occupy the space next to the truck, giving Laugh’N’ Go a small dining area.

This is a surprisingly good people watching spot, and a full Radiator Springs inspired soundtrack fills the area, adding to the Route 66 vibe. It's a shame I didn't get to hear the classic Sh-Boom by The Chords but you can't have everything.
Onto the food. The only savoury offering here is the Croque McQueen, while those looking for sweet treats can pick between either the Worlds of Pixar or Le Délice de Flo cupcakes, or the usual ice cream offerings. I ordered two of the three unique menu items, though I’m assuming the two cupcakes differ aesthetically only – actually, that sounds like an excuse to go back and try the other one.

The Croque McQueen is a decent enough sandwich, the bread has a good crunch and contains the ham and cheese filling well. Even though the menu says they’re toasted to order, mine still wasn’t that warm (a trend I’m seeing across DLP spots at this point.) They are previously frozen, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Thanks to the tie-in with La Vache qui rit, or The Laughing Cow to us UK folks, the cheese in this take on a croque monsieur is cream cheese rather than a slice. This gives the sandwich a bit more of a tang, and at times the cheese thoroughly overpowers the ham. But overall, it’s a good snack.
Plus, it’s got Lightning McQueen toasted into the bread, so bonus points there.
The Flo’s V8 Café cupcake was my other choice, and I’ll be honest, I was ready to slate this as another overpriced, basic cupcake but it had a little secret I’ll elaborate on shortly.
The cake looks cute, with its pink, whipped white chocolate ganache topping and star-shaped sprinkles. Nestled in the top of the ganache is a white chocolate disc showing off Flo’s classic logo. The ganache itself is nowhere near as sweet as I expected, which is a blessing given how much of it there is.
Underneath all the topping is a pretty basic, vanilla cupcake. At times it’s a bit dry, but you can easily remedy that by eating it with the copious amounts of ganache.

Now, this little secret probably wouldn’t have been as surprising to someone who’d actually read the menu, seeing as it mentions cream cheese in the cupcake’s description, but here we are. Hiding in amongst all the pink ganache was a dollop of Laughing Cow cheese, and it really brought the whole cake to life – I am sad I found this out as my last bite. The tang from the cream cheese cut through all the white chocolate beautifully and helped soften the sometimes-dry cake underneath. This little hidden gem really saved this cake in my opinion.
Overall, this was a good snack experience, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cupcake in the end. It’s a little more expensive than buying similar items at the Starbucks out in Disney Village, so make of that what you will. But, if you want a snack stop before heading round to Arendelle or hopping on the Cars Road Trip, this little food truck is a solid option.
